Small Dog Carriers - Dog Carrier Stroller - Different Type Of Luxury Dog Carriers

Do you need a dog carrier stroller? Not really. Small dog carriers are portable pet homes designed to safely and comfortably transport your dog. When we travel, it is our responsibility to keep our pets safe. Luxury dog carriers offer you the style and security so you can feel safe while you travel with your dog. Some are plain and practical, others are very stylish and can cost anywhere between $30 to over $1000.

There are several different types of dog carriers, depending on the size of the dog and the purpose of the dog carrier. First you must determine its use. If you are traveling by airplane, you will need to purchase an airline approved dog carrier. If you are traveling by car, you may need a plastic or wire dog carrier. If you are traveling by motorcycle, you’ll need to purchase a motorcycle dog carrier.

Nature lovers who plan to go for a walk or hike in the woods, you may want to purchase a backpack style dog carrier. Finally, thanks to some well known celebrities, there are dog carriers that resemble large handbags, allowing you to take your small dog with you everywhere you go.

One type of dog carrier, and the most popular is the dog crate. A dog crate can be a plastic dog carrier, or one made of heavy welded steel wire. Some dog crates are designed to be more like cages, while others are designed to be more like dog carriers.

Plastic dog carriers are two-piece units with ventilation areas along the sides and a welded steel wire door in front. They're lightweight, portable and are easily taken apart for storage or travel. Most plastic crates meet federal regulations for airline travel.

Wire cage dog carriers are very popular and depending on your dog's needs, may be a better purchase than plastic. You'll need to shop more carefully for a wire crate because quality and style vary greatly. Some of them are flimsy and not meant to be collapsed for storage. Wire dog carriers aren't approved for airline use.

These days, it is fashionable to carry small dogs in designer dog carriers. Designers have created many different versions of dog carriers to help you travel in style with your pooch. Also considered small dog carriers, these are not meant for medium or large breed dogs! These designer bags are all soft-sided dog carriers and made especially for the safety and comfort of your dog.

No matter what type of dog carrier you choose, be sure it is large enough so your dog is able to stand up, turn around and lie down comfortably.
